An interpretation of Princess Diana's Astrological T Square

T-square
Uranus Opposite Moon/ Square Venus

Uranus the planet of individuality, evolution and freedom is in the sign of Leo the fixed fire sign which is creative, proud, playful and demands attention. This shows up in the house of shared resources, merging with others, sex and death.

The Moon which is the emotions and instincts of the native, is in Aquarius which is the rebellious, individualistic and humanitarian sign and is located 2nd house of values, self-worth and resources.

These planets are in opposition, this means the energies are pulling in different directions and create a see-saw effect, and there is a need to balance out the opposition.

With Uranus being the dispositor of Moon in Aquarius the link is stronger between these 2 planets.

The Moon opposing Uranus means a lot of emotional instability and upheaval in relation to her merged assets in her marriage and her personal value system.

There was a point early in her marriage where she didn't feel good enough that she injured herself deliberately; this is an extreme example of this placement playing out.

This opposition forms into a T Square with Venus in Taurus in the 5th house.

Venus the sign that rules femininity, love, self-worth, what is aesthetically appealing is at home in the fixed Earth sign of Taurus which is about sensuality, finances, being stable and stubborn. The 5th house is about creativity, children and romance.

Venus Squaring Moon means the self-worth and emotional nourishment were at odds, her Venus wanted simple sensuality and grounded energy in her love affairs; but her Moon on the other hand needed to rebel, be with the people and supporting a cause to feel emotionally nourished and to make her feel valuable in society.

Bringing this together in Princess Diana's personal story

The Uranus in Leo in the 8th manifested as Diana receiving a lot of attention and sudden change in an area of life that is deeply intimate and personal - her marriage to Charles and the speculation of his affair with Camilla.

Also Diana's untimely and tragic passing resonated with this placement; Uranus ruling chaos, Leo attention and publicity in the 8th house of death.

The opposing Moon in Aquarius in the 2nd explains that Diana had very strong humanitarian values which she demonstrated by her charity work, including visiting patients affected by AIDS which at the time was still emerging as a relatively new disease, and had a lot of stigma around it. Her time and energy was also giving to others and showing vulnerable and sick people her compassion, she gave back to the people and was known as the 'People's Princess'.

Another huge part of her life was her children. Venus in Taurus in the 5th showed that she gave her children a lot of love and stability. Diana was known for prioritising her children and ensured her schedule was organised around her spending quality time with them.

All of this energy working together in a challenging way would have caused a lot of stress, heart break and sadness. It was revealed she suffered depression, bulimia and ultimately her marriage ended with Charles mainly due to his long term affair with Camilla.

Although a T Square is a challenging placement, it also motivates and allows for action and personal growth. In her later life she did manage to find some joy and freedom after her divorce from Charles; unfortunately though her life was cut tragically short for more evolution in this 3D reality to unfold.
